I Miss My Ex GirlFriend, But Now I’m Over It

If you find that you are sitting around saying to yourself, “I miss my ex girlfriend” you will need to find some way to get on with your life.  A break up is hard on both parties.  You must find a way to fight through the inevitable feelings of depression.  Here are some steps that you can use to move forward with your life.

First you will need to make peace with the fact that the relationship is over.  You need to get some type of closure in the relationship for yourself.  One thing that you can do is to acknowledge to yourself that the relationship is over.  Say it out loud so that it is real to you.  Once you acknowledge to yourself that the relationship is over then you can move on and begin the healing process.

Next you need to physically end the relationship.  You can accomplish this by giving her back all of her stuff, and getting your things back from her.  Make sure that you recover and return everything.  This way you can do it all at once one time and be done with it.  You will successfully remove all physical traces of your ex from your life.  If you have any pictures or special items that you received from her put them in a box for later when  you are better able to deal with seeing them.

Avoid going to places that you know she will be for awhile until you are completely over her.  Find new places to hang out and enjoy yourself for awhile.  This may actually be a good thing, because you will be able to experience new things and meet new people.

The sooner you get back in the saddle and start dating again the better.  Go out on dates with other people and have fun.  Go out with several women don’t limit yourself exclusively to just one person right away.

You’ll see that eventually the pain of your breakup will ease and become bearable.

Break Up To Make Up Is All We Do

“Break Up To Make Up is all we do.”  These are the words to a popular song from the 70’s.  There is some truth in this statement for some couples.  The breakup is the thing that precedes the make up where you get back together with your ex.

If you have been dating for any length of time you and your ex have probably developed strong feelings for one another.  You both probably have a lot of time, and feelings invested in the relationship.  Along the way though something went terribly wrong and led to one or both of you calling it quits.  What is crucial to the chance of getting back together is how you handle the break up.

If you are the one that is calling off the relationship remember to be respectful and caring when you do it.  Remember that this is someone that you care about.  Take that into account as you break the news.  Try to be gentle and do it in a loving and compassionate way if at all possible.

It is best for everyone if you break up in a public place.  Do it in a public place because people are less likely to act crazy if there are others watching.  Don’t make it something that is long and drawn out either.  Say what you have to say, and then leave.

After the break up be sure that you leave the lines of communication open.  Try to be there for your ex if they need you.

Continue to be respectful of your ex.  Don’t do things that you know will hurt them like date their best friend or showing off your dates or new romance in front of them.  Doing these types of things can result in problems later on if you do decide to get back with your ex.

If you decide that you do want to get back with you ex then let them know.  Make sure that you are continuing to grow as a person, so that you are still interesting to them.  Consider getting involved in new activities, sports, or hobbies.  Meet new friends.  Another thing that you can do to attract you ex is to try a new look or update your wardrobe.

Take things slow.  Ask you ex to go out for lunch or coffee.  During your initial meeting you can reminisce about good memories that you both share.  Tell them about the new changes in your life.

If your ex is interested then continue to take things slow.  Wine and dine your ex.  Treat the relationship like it is brand new and rekindle the feelings of new love.  Let things progress naturally and don’t try to rush them.
